Batman - The Penguin's a Jinx
19 January 2015 | by (United States) – See all my reviews

"The Penguin's a Jinx" is the second of the two part Penguin-tricks-Batman-into-helping-him-conduct-a-crime story arc. By using a plan Batman and Robin believe Penguin is concocting himself by listening to the Dynamic Duo through the listening device inside the handle of an umbrella, the "villain of the moment" will infiltrate the penthouse of a movie star, Dawn Robbins (Leslie Parrish), and kidnap her. Using a magnet that defuses Batman and Robin, Penguin is successful but like most villains, he underestimates the heroes. The listening device that helps Penguin could very well come back to haunt him. With "Sparrow" and "Hawkeye" (Walter Burke and Lewis Charles) at his beck and call, Penguin will give Batman all he can handle. The penguin sight gags galore are a real treat, and the Penguin is quite memorable in the performance of Meredith that you can't soon forget him, and again proves that special guest stars as the villains outshine their heroic counterparts.
