[Ben Thompson is wounded while saving Bat Masterson's life]
William Barclay 'Bat' Masterson: You won't be using that gun arm for a while.
Ben Thompson: That's a shame.
William Barclay 'Bat' Masterson: Why? Do you need it?
Ben Thompson: I was countin' on it. I got word my kid brother Billy is sentenced to die in Ogalala for a killing he didn't do.
William Barclay 'Bat' Masterson: I guess I'd better ride up there. You stay here and take care of that arm.
Ben Thompson: You don't owe me anything.
William Barclay 'Bat' Masterson: Just my life. I don't like being obligated.
