Maxwell Gail directs the first of his five episodes

"Wojo's Problem" was actually directed by Max Gail himself, the first of five he would direct. Wojo's problem is of a sexual nature, complaining that the women in his life won't leave him alone, so Barney finds himself not in a position to help. Harris complains about living with Dietrich, whose apparent arrogance matches his own. A holdup man (Henry Slate) turns out to be confined to a wheelchair, he too complaining about his own state of affairs, such as finding a suitable bathroom (Yemana: "I wouldn't stand for it!"). After Nick loses him, Dietrich attributes it to a 'lucky roll!' In his fourth of nine appearances, Stanley Brock makes just his second as store owner Bruno Bender, who spends the entire episode looking through the mug book to identify the guy that robbed his store. In her second of six episodes, Mari Gorman here debuts as Officer Rosslyn Licori, the long awaited replacement for Gregory Sierra's Chano Amenguale, for whom Barney had requested a replacement two years before. We also meet her jealous husband (Ray Girardin), who casts an accusing eye on every man in the squad room, bristling when told by Barney that he does have a couch in his office (she made two return appearances, he never did). Max Gail later directed "The Accusation," "The Counterfeiter," "Computer Crime," and "Bones."
