Ned Glass and Jeffrey Tambor
12 July 2014 | by (Youngstown,Ohio) – See all my reviews

"Field Associate" features TV veteran Ned Glass (second of two) as Stanley Golden, a dying cat burglar who takes a shine to Harris, confessing that he has no friends left behind. Eventually, Harris discovers that the 50-year criminal has a wife he hasn't seen in 32 years (Florence Halop, fourth of six), but the happy reunion doesn't quite turn out like he'd hoped (Dietrich: "ooh, I'm drained!"). Jeffrey Tambor plays William Klein, a conspiracy nut arrested for breaking up an office of the Trilateral Commission, the creation of David Rockefeller in 1973. Dietrich later reveals himself to be a member, taking notes on Klein's complaints for a future board meeting! A memo from Internal Affairs points a suspicious finger at each of the squad room detectives- Wojo's habitual tardiness, Capt. Miller's habitual failures to report same, Harris' business dealings during work hours, and Dietrich's frequency to engage in 'unnecessary conversation,' and general 'lack of enthusiasm.' When an accusatory finger gets pointed at Levitt being the 'field associate,' he fesses up: "if I said no, they would have found somebody else, so it seemed better for it to be someone who liked you guys who would overlook major transgressions and concentrate on the really picayune stuff!" Wojo: "what are we supposed to do, thank you?" Levitt: "you're welcome!"
