Luis Avalos and Marya Small

"Crash" begins with Harris and Dietrich's collar, James Glynn (George Loros), a dealer in 'extra strength pain reliever,' carrying $7000 in his pocket, which he uses to try to bribe his way out of jail. Once he finds he has no takers, he quickly reveals himself as Sgt. Michael P. Hunt from Internal Affairs, the latest attempt to flush out corruption from Lt. Ben Scanlon (George Murdock's second of 12 appearances in the role). Nick and Dietrich discuss bribery (Yemana: "you know Dietrich, in all the years that I've been on the force, I've never once been offered a bribe?" Dietrich: "does that bother you?" Yemana: "well, I wouldn't take the money, but sometimes it's just nice to be asked!"). Also in attendance is cab driver Antonio Mione (Luis Avalos, first of two) and his passenger, Sheila Rosen (Marya Small), to report the taxi stolen at a red light by a big guy who said he was a police officer with a Polish name- Wojciehowicz! A liquor store robber (Joey Aresco) leads a high speed chase at 80 mph, and Wojo leaves the cab downstairs...without any doors.
