Storyline

Hal Jones, a private investigator is in the midst of a job when he decides to call fellow P.I. Frank Cannon to ask for his advice. Cannon tells him to come see him but he doesn't show up. So Cannon calls his home looking for him. His father Barnaby answers and tells him that Hal is dead. They agree to meet, so they meet at Hal's office. When they meet Barnaby tells Frank that Hal's office was his and he trained Hal before he retired. They deduce that Hal was killed after talking to Frank on the phone because he was found near a phone booth. Now Barnaby decides to go find out what happened to his son and Frank agrees to help.
