Storyline

Baretta meets a parole officer friend (John Shockley) returning from Mexico. Just after telling Baretta that he had seen a former parolee alive and well (in spite of being declared a suicide by drowning a few months earlier), Shockley is the victim of a deliberate hit-and-run. Baretta encounters official resistance to reopening the case, a befuddled grieving mother and a violent gangland attempt to find the "dead" woman and her accomplice. Written by jeaneva

Find the woman

We have here Brock Peters - one of the most underrated Black actor in Hollywood - who informs Baretta that a female informer of the police is still alive whilst she was supposed to be dead. As I will say over and over all long this TV show I intend to comment, you have here the so typical seventies atmosphere. The decade during which you had the most crime shows of the TV industry. And you have a famous seventies supporting actor: Ed Lauter and his so familiar face that no one never forgets. For the rest, nothing really special in this episode. So, don't expect too much folks. some light touch in this tale, not entirely a brutal crime scheme.

Good Baretta - Robert Blake - vehicle.
