Stinking money in a coffin.

The episode begins very strangely. A bunch of guys escape away aboard a hearse, yes a mortuary station wagon, and after a car chase between the hearse and a pick-up driven by Baretta, there is a car crash where the hearse gets out of the road. One guy dies and the other is arrested. In the coffin aboard the vehicle, the cops find not a corpse but half a million dollars. So the big problem will be to find out what's the meaning, what are the whereabouts of all this. Where is the money from? In that purpose Baretta will find again the Italian mobster, the same he already had to deal with some episodes ago, remember? He will also have to protect a female journalist against some evil force. Some good surprises in this story, including political connections involving a police commissioner running for mayor...
