A worthy pilot
11 August 2006 | by See all my reviews

I am totally hooked on this show now, ever since Season 7. Today I bought the DVD set of Season 1 and naturally, I started with this episode.

As a pilot it is well above average and sets the tone for what is to come. Corruption, violence, descent within the ranks, and a pervert warden.

The characters are strong, the script is exciting and the drama is well held throughout. After watching this, you will want to see episode 2 (Drug Wars).

I wouldn't pay the asking price of £35 (HMV) for this series but for the amount of money I DID spend (£12.99) for it... it was a good buy.
