Trivia

Lord Refa says to Londo that the Centauri will be using mass-drivers to attack Narn. In point of fact, their ships are armed with railguns. A railgun is a purely electrical gun that accelerates a conductive projectile along a pair of metal rails using the same principles as the homopolar motor. Railguns use two sliding or rolling contacts that permit a large electric current to pass through the projectile. This current interacts with the strong magnetic fields generated by the rails and this accelerates the projectile. When the ships approach Narn look closely at the undercarriage of the Centauri ship, and you can see the electrical charge surrounding the projectile between the two rails. See more »

Quotes

[first lines]
Lord Refa: Londo, good to see you again.
Londo Mollari: And you, Refa, you look well.
Lord Refa: Exciting times, Mollari. They fire the blood and the mind.
Lord Refa: [to guard] Leave us.
Londo Mollari: Refa, the emperor?
Lord Refa: Is out among his people, basking in their almost-sincere adulation. He has left things here in the hands of his court, which can function just as well without him as with him. Sometimes better.

The Dam Breaks in This Episode!
9 January 2007 | by (Bradenton, Florida) – See all my reviews

Up until this time, the battling between the Narn and Centauri is somewhat limited--a skirmish here a skirmish there. But in this one, the entire battle comes to a major head, as BOTH the Narn and the Centauri have a plan to radically change the course of the war. Exactly who will prevail and how is something you'll have to see for yourself. This episode is well-acted, exciting and kept my attention throughout. Plus, finally, after hints and pieces of the puzzle have been dropped throughout the last two seasons, all-out war is finally here--and the other races, characteristically, do nothing and try to pretend the galaxy isn't in total chaos!
