Early on, Sheridan is told he has pain givers attached around his wrists and neck, and would receive an increasingly severe shock the closer he got to the interrogator beginning from a couple feet away, but several times, with the necklace and bracelets still visibly on, the interrogator comes within less than a foot of Sheridan with no effect.
