Trivia

The stimulant addiction had originally been written for Lieutenant-Commander Takashima in the pilot, but had been cut due to time constraints. The character flaw was still considered a good plot device, so it was re-written for Dr. Franklin. See more »

Quotes

[first lines]
Cmdr. Susan Ivanova: August 3, 2260. Personal diary. Ten days ago, for the first time, the Shadows began attacking openly. So far they have been hitting targets close to the Rim: the minor powers, the few in the League of Non-Aligned Worlds. The attacks seem totally random, almost senseless. If we thought it was nuts around here before, this has only made things worse...

User Reviews

One of the better episodes and a HUGE number of important plots, so you can't miss this one!

Wow--this episode has so many interesting and über-important story lines going on, it is an absolute "must-see". In other words, since so much occurs relating to the overall plots that run through most of he episodes, you really SHOULD be sure to see this episode. A few of the major plots in this one are Garibaldi confronting the Doctor about his addiction to "stims", a MAJOR confrontation between Sheridan and Kosh where Kosh tells Sheridan he will die if he goes to Z'ha'dum, Londo awaits the return of his beloved Adira (the only person he ever seems to love during the course of the series) and the members of the Alliance demand proof from Sheridan that their forces are strong enough to commit to the cause.

All in all, a lot takes place here--lots of action and lots of great twists. This is super-exciting and worth seeing--don't miss it.
