The final appearance of Joan Sims in As Time Goes By
safenoe30 June 2020
Warning: Spoilers
One classic scene in this episode was when Alistair led the old folk through the Village People's YMCA! Here the episode is set in a church where Jean helps out in organising a meal for the senior citizens in London who usually spend all day watching Coronation Street or Eastenders. This is a poignant episode in some ways, where one is forced to reflect on longevity and loneliness.

Talking of which, this is the final appearance of Joan Sims in As Time Goes By.

Abnormal amount of cleaning needed for a church hall?
mehimandkids-2342926 November 2019
Warning: Spoilers
One of my favorite episodes, but I could never figure out why there was that much dirt and leaves on the floor of a church hall. Not to mention, faulty tables. Jean says this hall is rented out so you would think there would at least be semi-clean floors and a working set of tables! Regardless, I'm so thankful for this treasured TV eye candy that viewers/fans will always have, to remember fondly, all the amazing actors and actresses that were a part of the show. Though I am a huge Judi Dench fan, I don't mind admitting (and giving credit to) the other cast members who equally had a hand in making that show what it was: wholesome, intelligent, heartfelt, hilarious and a treasure, we are all very lucky to have. Thank you Judi, Philip, Moira, Moyra, Geoffrey, Jenny and every other cast member not mentioned.
