Eleanor Moriarty stars as Polly

Warning: Spoilers
Eleanor Moriarty plays Polly in this episode, who works as Jean's agency. I wouldn't be surprised if Polly is the youngest character ever to appear in As Time Goes By.

I'm a big fan of the series and it's gentle humor is something to behold. As Time Goes By is timeless and you can binge on it without losing one's mind.

The imdb trivia for this episode states: "The introduction and only appearance of the character Polly (played by Eleanor Moriarty)." Actually, this episode was the introduction and only appearance of the new neighbors Ruth and Alex Duncan, played by Isabelle Amyes and Matthew Marsh, respectively.

I wish there was a reunion movie or a limited run series. If Twin Peaks can have a revival, what about As Time Goes By? If it was rebooted, the opening montage would need to be updated to include Prime Ministers Gordon Brown, David Cameron, Theresa May and Boris Johnson.

Lollop or loll?

Warning: Spoilers
This episode begins with Jean trying to help Lionel with a crossword clue. I may be nitpicking but...... Lollop means to move in an ungainly way in a series of leaps or bounds. Loll is to sit, lie or stand in a lazy way. So loll would be the answer, surely? If you're going to base a scene about a crossword clue on a particular word, at least look up the definition! I wonder if Dame Judi queried it......

Couldn't stop laughing. The entire cast at their finest. What a great series. From when Alastair announces having sold the nextdoor home to Jean and Lionel planning to having the neighbors over to the pub scene. Laughs all the way.
