Mr Lucas has the hots for Miss Brahms, and is desperate to ask her on a date, not allowed to go to the counter he jots his request on a note 'Dear sexy knickers I don't half fancy you' and throws it over, it goes unnoticed and Captain Peackock picks it up and hands it to Mrs Slocombe who in turn believes he's sent it to her. Lots of problems arise from the note, nobody knows who's sent it and who the intended recipient is, even poor Mr Grainger kops it from Mrs Slocombe.

It's a great episode, funnier then the pilot, it had a more naughty, much funnier tone. more 'shop' jokes in the earlier episodes which started to disappear in the later series. Funny customers too.

You can see Mr Lucas was initially pitched as the star of the show, I think they soon realised they were all equally as brilliant.

Love it. 8/10
