I heard my parents talking once. I think she must've been driven insane by the ghost... which reminds me, there's a pool party over at Sally's on Saturday! I suppose you wanna come?
Don't get too excited; you can't come unless you go through the initiation.
The night in the haunted house?

The third episode, "The Tale of the Lonely Ghost" is not as scary or chilling as the second episode, but it still features plenty of chills. The acting is solid even though I found the cousin very annoying and bratty. I liked the ending because it's somewhat of a surprise and this episode is written well. Also, there is some good character development within the Midnight Society itself.
This episode is about a girl who is sent to live with her aunt and cousin for the summer. In order to hang out with her cousin and friends, she must spend the night in the haunted house next door.
Overall, this is a very good episode that is slightly less scary than the previous episode. However, the last two episodes are proving to be effective after a lackluster start. I rate this episode 9/10.
