Shock of pages.
tyler-and-jack from Edinburgh.

Belinda (Natalie Radford) enters the life of Ricky (James Sherry) when
she is hired to babysit him. Ricky isn't looking forward to his evening
with the babysitter, and his spirits sink further when she insists that
he starts to read a story for her. But things soon take a turn for the
strange when the characters from the story appear inside the house,
with Belinda telling Ricky that the only way to save them from danger
is to finish the story.
Written by David Preston, and directed by Iain Paterson, this is a fun
episode. It doesn't have any major scares or tension, mainly due to the
playful nature of Belinda, but that's just fine. And, hey, it reminds
people of the worlds that you can find in the pages of a good book
(although, hopefully, not one which allows characters to come to life
Radford is fun in her role, while Sherry does well as the sullen kid
spurred into action even as he disbelieves what his eyes are seeing.
The dangerous characters unleashed from the book are menacing enough,
in a very kid-friendly way, and that covers all of the main players.
Like the entire premise of the show, this reminds younger viewers of
the power of their imagination, and that's no bad thing. That's no bad
thing at all.
