Imogen Stubbs is Anna Lee in "The Cook's Tale," another episode in the Anna Lee series. This time, an old school friend (Sara Stewart) is caught for shoplifting in a store where Anna and her colleagues are working as store detectives. Since Sara is drunk, Anna drives her home. She learns that Sara is unhappily married to a well-known chef, Dominic Jones (Adrian Edmundson). He's cheating on her, and Sara asks Anna as a favor to find out the identity of the woman. This leads to murders.
Very good story with some humor thrown in as Anna's neighbor (Brian Glover) works to become a restaurant critic and is busy memorizing all the recipes for dover sole and critiquing meals.
Stubbs is great as usual, as is the rest of the cast. There's fun, mayhem, and a good mystery to be had by all.
