Goofs

When Lilah gives her corporate spiel to Sahjahn, she is talking as though her office is bugged by Wolfram & Hart with microphones. Yet, when Sahjahn mentions his plan about needing Connor's blood, she responds as though their conversation is private and confidential. See more »

Quotes

Gunn: [Angel has just received a package in the mail] I want to know how he does it. No last name. No bank account. How you ordering stuff off the web?
Winifred 'Fred' Burkle: It's not that hard, really. All you gotta do is hack into the shipping database, find someone who's ordering what you want and the substitute your information.
[pause]
Winifred 'Fred' Burkle: E-except that would just be high-tech robbery.
Angel: I memorized Cordelia's credit card number.
Winifred 'Fred' Burkle: [brightly] Oh! Low-tech robbery!

That the vampire will devour his child is certain. The dark question you harbor is only when

That the vampire will devour his child is certain. The dark question you harbor is only when - Despite the absence of 'Cordelia', I think this is one of the best episodes of season 3, I actually hardly notice 'Cordy' not being around. The main source of goodness is 'Wesley', his character was always fascinating, but this episode made him into one of TV's best developed and written characters. He's afraid that 'Angel' might kill his own son and tries to talk to a cranky hamburger and then with 'Holtz', who has an army of people willed with revenge and are all wanting to bring down 'Angel'. 'Shajhan' was also around, he knows that 'Holtz' isn't going to kill 'Angel' anytime soon, so he tries 'Lilah' whom is more than willing to help, I love the chemistry between these two characters. I'm also surprised with how much I love the relationship between 'Gunn' and 'Fred' in this episode, it's something so fresh and sweet, they fit well together no matter what some fans say, I just wish they would have stayed this way. My favorite scene of the episode is hands-down the absolutely wonderful ending with the prophecy coming out as we get the earthquake, followed by fire and blood, it was also one of 'Wesley's finest scenes. The teaser was also fantastic with 'Wes' having a dream of 'Angel' teaching 'Connor' how to die. Brilliant episode all around. LILAH: You don't have an appointment. SAHJHAN: That's it? No 'wow, how did he do that?' No screaming in terror? You twenty first century types are so jaded. LILAH: You're Sahjhan, aren't you? I may be jaded, but I do my homework. And there's a girl downstairs, she's got records on everything that ever happened. My company rocks. (10 out of 10)
