Trivia

This episode marks the only appearance of Seth Green (Daniel "Oz" Osbourne) on the series.
Despite editing 5 minutes, when this episode aired in the UK it angered the ITC due to the violence and adult themes. The network quickly moved it to a later time slot than its usual 6:00 p.m.

When Doyle sees the interaction between Angel and Oz, he wonders if their conversations are always like that, and Oz comments that they're "usually laconic." Laconic means using as few words as possible; it is derived from Laconia, a region in Greece inhabited by the Spartans, who were known for their brevity in speech.
