After being involved in a minor accident - no more than an fender bender really - Goober is just fine and shrugs it all off. As others in the town hear about it, they begin to regale him with tales of people they know who suffered greatly from what initially was just a minor bump or scrape. Soon, Goober begins to develop symptoms of paralysis and whiplash and even ends up living in Andy's bedroom, unable to care for himself. Andy is convinced that it's all psychosomatic but has to figure out a way to get Goober to realize that he is perfectly fine. Written by garykmcd

The car that runs into the patrol car appears to change from the head on view looking through the back window of Andy's patrol car to the on the woman ( Suzanne Taylor) gets out of after the accident. The car she gets out of looks like a '65 Ford Mustang maybe a '66. The car seen through the back window of the patrol car was clearly not a Ford Mustang. In addition the type of impact would have surely resulted in extensive damage to both cars. But Andy looked at the cars and said their was no damage to either car. Also from the view through the back window of Andy's car, and as the woman is getting out of her car the two cars are lined up one directly behind the other in a straight line. After the close up of Andy, Goober and the woman talking Andy's car is now moved and is sitting at an angle. See more »

This is one of the funniest episodes of season 7 as Floyd mischievously winds Goober up to believe he is suffering whiplash (We wouldn't wanna lose you, boy). I love Andy's look of disbelief when the doctor recommends that Goober remain under the Taylors' care for at least six weeks. Andy's line about Johnny Harris's demise is delivered perfectly. If you're not someone who watches the series in chronological order, this episode and the one where Andy comes down with a cold in season 8 make a nice pairing.
