In spite of the fact that Christmas trees that are planted in Rockefeller Center come long before Christmas Eve, some lumberjacks decide to chop down what they think is the perfect tree. What they don't realize is this tree is the nest of a baby Sasquatch, and his parents and the rest of their tribe are understandably furious. Meanwhile, Jake is being dragged into the Long Family's Christmas traditions, which he thinks are lame. When Grandpa informs him of the threat of the Sasquatch tribe rampaging through NYC, Jake thinks thwarting this rampage may be an easy way out. Unfortunately, three other people start looking for this baby bigfoot -- Professor Rotwood and two of the Huntsclan's flunkie apprentices #88 & #89. And of course, since they're part of the Huntsclan, their plan for the baby isn't so noble, and now he, Spud and Trixie have to perform three good deeds. And just when you thought Trixie's Dad was going to go the way of Norm Peterson's wife from "Cheers," the AmDrag does a good deed for her too.
I'll admit I remember a similar episode of "Tiny Toon Adventures" involving the rescue of a baby whale from an evil cosmetics maven. But I'm not going to use this as an excuse to bash this tale. In fact, I'm not going to bash it at all, because I think it was terrific, right down to Fu Dog's Sam the Snowman imitation, and his nausea over the sappiness of the whole story. If Disney decided to release a second compilation of holiday-related episodes, like they did with "Even Stevens," "Lizzie McGuire," "Kim Possible," "That's So Raven," "Phil of the Future" and "The Suite Life of Zack & Cody," they should make this episode part of the DVD, along with some of the other Christmas & Holiday episodes of Disney Channel series they missed.
