Where does the elevator lead?
19 June 2007 | by (muenster, germany) – See all my reviews

Alan is a high school student. His father is an inventor. One day he tells Alan they are going to move. Alan is sad about the news. He doesn't like having to leave his friends, especially Karen, who has been his friend ever since first grade.

When the lights go out in the evening, Alan goes down to the cellar to switch the electricity back on. By chance, he discovers a secret door and, behind it, an elevator that looks very futuristic. Is it a new invention by his father? Or is it something else?

I think this episode is roughly comparable with 'One for the Books' (#1.23) and 'Such Interesting Neighbors' (#2.18). All three are simple, not complex, and all three belong to the sci-fi genre. I liked 'Such Interesting Neighbors' better than this one. It had more jokes and was a little more mysterious. But this one was also o.k. I liked the plot twists (though the twist in the end was somewhat predictable), so it still deserves six points in my opinion.
