Quotes

James Colbert: I make a minor misstep and my whole life is blown out of the water. Is that fair? Is it? Fourteen months in jail! In that God awful rotten hole. I didn't lie about that! If you're not an animal when you go in there, you're an animal when you come out.

Another Political Episode For Spidey
27 November 2014 | by (United States) – See all my reviews

The third episode of the second season entitled "The Con Caper" is another episode that involves politics and a crooked politician in The Amazing Spiderman.

An imprisoned politician is released. He tries to provide an image of that of a reformed and humanitarian dedicated to prison reform for the sake of his former fellow prisoners. But he instead tries to stage a breakout for them and intends to steal $100 million.Coincidentally,Peter Parker was there to take photographs of the events and tries to stop the robbery as Spiderman in no time.

As I have stated in the beginning, this episode involves another politician. But overall,it definitely was disguised as a prison break out.The politics was somewhat provided a good cover for that familiar plot that many action and superhero TV shows have done in the past. But nevertheless,it was still entertaining especially at the end when viewers get to see the criminals and Spidey do a lot of action scenes in the end.At present, they may seem ordinary but they were definitely more than ordinary when the show was aired.
