Archie takes on Buck Evans
27 May 2014 | by (United States) – See all my reviews

As the other reviewer mentioned, this is a terrific episode during the show's peak years, and has a zany cast of characters which make this very fun too. Archie doesn't want to attend Edith's high school reunion at first; soon after, he changes his tune when he finds out that the "legendary" Buck Evans(Bernie Kuby), who was once smitten with Edith years ago, is supposed to show up. Some familiar faces include Harvey Lembeck, Bernie Hamilton, and Rae Allen; an interesting tidbit is this is the final acting appearance for Evelyn King, who played the woman's "libber" Mavis Pike. Archie manages to insult everyone at the party, including Buck Evans, whose anticipated appearance I won't spoil, but it should surprise you. Although I should've mentioned this before now, but it's a bit funny the way the women gush over Evans before he shows up. Sit back, relax, and enjoy this good time.
