Dr Raczinska says she is from Silesia and mentions Swidnica and Wroclaw. She says that the English would know Wroclaw as Breslau. In fact, Breslau didn't become Wroclaw until after the Second World War, when eastern territories of Germany were ceded to Poland. So if she was from Swidnica or Wroclaw (which are quite close to each other), in fact, she would have been a German national, from Schweidnitz or Breslau in Germany, since Swidnica and Wroclaw, Poland didn't exist as Polish cities until 1945.
