Did You Know?

We get to see how Allison killed Francie. To further symbolize their fight between good and evil, Sydney was dressed in white and Allison in black. We can see a picture of Budapest instead of Zürich when Sydney goes to Switzerland to meet Sloane. In the background the towers of Europe's biggest synagogue can be seen. The scene was shot on the rooftop of the Astoria, a famous hotel in Budapest. In "Phase One", when Francie gets killed, the trail of blood from her head goes horizontally. In this episode, the trail of blood goes straight down. In the office that is supposed to be in London there is a lamp that clearly uses an American plug. It seems pretty odd that Sydney, with all her training as super agent, could have just walked towards the lift and looking at the body without even checking the surrounding to see if Alison was nearby to knock her unconscious from the back! That precaution would have been rule no. 1 in the CIA's book of "Things to Look out for". See more »

In the park Sydney has an encounter with Sloane. As they meet Sloane has a bottle of water with hem that is completely full. At the and of the conversation he takes a sip from the bottle which suddenly is only half-full. See more »

NSC Director Robert Lindsey: The Covenant doesn't want anyone to know they're behind the assassination.
Lauren Reed: And your source believes their reach extends so far within the Russian government that they can make that happen.
NSC Director Robert Lindsey: You leave tonight. Any leak, and our source could be compromised and killed. That means no one at the CIA can know about this, including your husband.

Allison is back (and hotter than ever!)
30 November 2009 | by See all my reviews

I'm so glad that I didn't look at Merrin Dungey's page on IMDb to see on how many "Alias" episodes she appeared in total, because then I would have spoiled myself on the most welcome surprise of Season 3 up to this point: the return of Allison Doren, the woman who killed Sydney's friend Francie and impersonated her for the entire second half of Season 2. She re-teams with Sark and they go after a device that can control the launching of Russian nuclear weapons; Sydney and Vaughn must rely on Sloane's help to stop them. It's a credit to Dungey that she has managed to create two entirely different characters in the same TV series (of whom, I must say, I find Allison more interesting). She even has another pretty brutal, but short, fight with Sydney in this episode, and although I was afraid they would bring her back only for an one-off and then they would kill her, thankfully that is not the case. Allison dominates this episode, but the rest of it is fine as well, with Lauren continuously growing as a character and Sloane's interactions with Sydney as fascinating as ever ("The password is Credit Dauphine...for old times' sake"). *** out of 4.
