As of this episode, the opening narration explaining the premise of the show (ie, Sydney working as a double agent to bring down SD-6) was no longer used. The episodes instead now started with a "Previously on Alias" recap. See more »

Quotes

Sydney: You said you didn't tell us the truth because you were trying to protect me, because you didn't want to risk Sark finding out that I was a double agent. The thing is, someone now has the ability to detonate six nuclear weapons and I am responsible. So I am going to be part of the team that finds and disarms those warheds no matter what you do. But if you were telling the truth when you said you wanted to protect me, then, Mom, I need your help.

Sydney goes on a mission with both of her parents
24 March 2012 | by (United Kingdom) – See all my reviews

After discovering that she will now be working with Julian Sark Sydney is understandably concerned that he might know that she is a double agent and if so will he tell Sloane? Sark has already told her that he has no intention of telling Sloane about her part in his 'attempted assassination'. With Sark now helping SD-6 she and Dixon are tasked with acquiring certain codes; she does this not realising that they are the arming codes for six nuclear weapons stored in Kashmir. Once it is learnt what the codes are for the CIA must retrieve them before SD-6 can; to do this Sydney must go to Kashmir with her father and her mother! Jack isn't too keen on Irena going with them but she knows the facility.

This was a fine opening to a two part story with plenty of action; it was great to see the three members of the Bristow family in action together when they were up against rebels in Kashmir... even if the rebels were shockingly bad shots! Lena Olin has been impressive in her more subtle role as the imprisoned Irena Derevko but here she showed she can do the action scenes too. The secondary story regarding Will's investigation into the school tests continues to be intriguing; I look forward to seeing where that goes in future episodes.
