Come on really?

Warning: Spoilers
How dumb you gotta be to not be able to tell that was not Roxy in the trailer? It was so obvious what was happening ... Hawke's character was contradictory here. Yeah he was instinctively suspicious and still went searching, but he still acted like she just had a turn around at the trailer.

Airwolf - Out of the Sky
Scarecrow-882 September 2018
Warning: Spoilers
I can honestly say that "Out of the Sky" is perhaps the worst episode of Airwolf I've personally seen throughout the series run. Just completely opposite every reason I enjoy the show, particularly its first season. The plot centers around a country music star named Rosy (Misty Rowe), her sleazy, gambling-addicted ex (and ailing managing partner, with his "cut of 20%"), his concert organizer, and those looking to collect what is owed them. Nick (Mayf Nutter) has a gambling problem that brings some bad guys looking to get their green while his right hand, Rusty (Luca Bercovici), is in his ear to try other methods to achieve the financial security. A substitute for Roxy arrives (also Rowe), giving Nick the opportunity to avoid disaster when the real Roxy is tired and wants a break, the concert seemingly dangerous as she is nearly killed through an electrocution. This damned chandelier with lights, seemingly gimmicked as a type of flying saucer for the concert, is later loaded with explosives and nearly dropped by helicopter line on top of the Roxy imposter in order for Nick to achieve financial security through album sales in her tragic demise! Nick is the classic scuzzball manager, kept financially level through the hard work and fame of a client, willing to see her kidnapped and taken into the desert by two vile thugs so that she isn't in the way when he sets up the elaborate killing-of-imposter scheme! Thankfully String falls in love with Roxy (and vice versa) and the two develop a romance which includes him taking her to his hunting lodge, complete with warm outside open fire. Lots of talk about life outside a singing career and taking time off in String and Roxy's conversations. Roxy and Nick debating her career, big lugs wanting to get their piece of Roxy (including a barfly getting a punch to the face by String for not leaving well enough alone), Roxy musical numbers, Roxy's thick country accent, and Roxy being fired upon by her kidnappers all included in this thick layer of 80s cheese that could be considered the very worst the decade had to offer. The moment it opens with Roxy belting a tune and the concert theatrics involved, I knew I was in for a long, painful slog. Santini and Caitlin are background players serving as camera helicopter operators, eventually capturing on camera Roxy's kidnapping, including the license plate in order to go on a rescue mission. String will rescue Roxy from the thugs while Santini and Caitlin try to get footage for the concert, but all turns into making sure the chandelier/alien prop is dropped on an empty plat of land and that Nick and Rusty don't continue to use a missile/laser launcher to blow up vehicles and buildings, putting the public at risk. The opening of the second season got the show off to a rocky start, but it recovered with some good rescue attempt missions only to fall back into this trashfire. Rowe has a rough go of it...not her best work.
