With few clients coming into the agency, Tommy suggests the he and Tuppence should go out to the crime. Specifically, he focuses on the murder of a Captain Antony Cecil whose body is found at the Sunningdale golf course. Cecil was well known and a regular on the links who had played a round of golf with several others the previous day. Arrested for his murder is Doris Evans who claimed that Cecil, whom she had met the previous month at the cinema, had invited her to lunch on the day of his death but then threatened her, at which point she ran off. Tommy is convinced she is innocent and he and Tuppence set off to piece together what really happened. Written by garykmcd
