Smart Crrooks, But Are They Smart Enough?
27 December 2006 | by See all my reviews

"Suzie," the baby elephant and star of an upcoming special show for kids put on by The Daily Planet and Superman, is kidnapped. Whoever heard of an elephantknapping," asks Jimmy Olsen (who else?). So, all our principal players have a stake in getting the elephant back to the circus in time for the big show.

The crooks leave the elephant in a deserted barn. What they don't know is that a city mother and her son just moved in nearby. The kid discovers the big animal, thinks it's a birthday present and the mom doesn't have the heart to say "it isn't." The crooks come back, see they have a problem, but quickly talk the kid into the giving the elephant back saying it is legally theirs. They show the kid some paper with a number on it. The boy is bummed out but he remembers that long list of numbers. Apparently, Bobby's memory is better than the elephant'ts, and that comes in handy later on.

The crooks are "Busher" and "Spike." I love the names they give the thugs in these Superman shows! Actually, these guys are much smarter than the average bad guys on this show. They have a clever plan....but who's smarter than Superman?
