One Of The More Goofy Episodes With The Dumbest King In History
ccthemovieman-110 December 2006
A con man and his floozy blonde wife "Ruby" promise "to make dreams come true." The crook has a small goal: he wants a country. Well, just a small one like "Sartania," which has a king who just happens to be on a six- month tour of the United States and today is visiting Metropolis.

The con man bills himself as "The Dreamer" and he has done his homework on the king and his country. The king is a senile-type guy who governs his country by dreams, so he's very interesting in a fellow dreamer who might be able to interpret his dreams for him and help run his country. All of this nonsense and more is in the first few minutes of this episode.

The con man tries to get the king to kill himself so that he can take over the country. Even in fiction, this has to be the dumbest king in the history of mankind! Even Superman has to shake his head a few times in amazement that this guy could be so stupid.

A very, very silly episode.

Sergeant Schultz Meets the Idiot King
Hitchcoc12 February 2015
A con man who call himself the Dreamer begins to convince people that he can make their dreams come true. Enter a king from one of those made up countries who governs by the dreams he has and voila. After demonstrating (sort of) that he has dream powers, this guy talks the king into making him the heir to the throne and then tries to kill him by making him do incredibly dangerous things. Superman intervenes each time and the stupid king thinks it's part of the prophecy. The whole thing is quite preposterous. Lois ends up kidnapped again (no Jimmy this time). This has happened so often, she should carry an escape kit for the next time. This episode is neither funny nor clever. These late season episodes are not very good so far, but I will keep the faith as I move through them.

If a John Banner fan, is a must watch
cpolster12 June 2022
The story is line passable. Lois of course is typical, in trouble again. The fans of John Banner of Hogan's Heroes fame will enjoy. Even though he has a minor part it is enjoyable to watch. Watch his facial expressions and parts of lines he says match quite well with his portrayal as Sgt. Schultz on Hogan's Heroes. See as he looked in 1957, weight wise compared to 1965-1971 on Hogan's Heroes. If you watch other films or televisions series that have him in, you will see he was a better actor than how most remember him.
