Why Did Jimmy Pick This Place to Vacation?
27 January 2015 | by (United States) – See all my reviews

This episode starts with a kind of Hardy Boys premise. Jimmy Olsen has been invited to visit his aunt whom he has not seen in many years. As a matter of fact there is the pregnant statement that he couldn't even remember how she looked. There is this incredible air of hostility which he get from his Cousin Chris, who won't even shake hands with him. The bad guys in this story are so unfriendly when an air of friendship would have worked wonders for them. All they did was make the young reporter want to know what was going on. I'm sure that fans of Superman would be disappointed at how little screen time he has here. Still, there is a kind of atmospheric thing going on with the old lighthouse and the man sneaking around in the woods. There is also an attractive young woman who is "deaf and dumb" so she can be of little help. I don't know if she is illiterate. Some of these fast script things do beg some details. The ending is rather silly and a bit anticlimactic. Still, it's a fun episode.
