Chris casually handles the gun by the barrel after Superman retrieves it from the flaming cabin. The metal should be far too hot for Chris to touch. (The Man of Steel would obviously be unaffected.) See more »

Ace in the Hole

A test pilot, who is Perry White's nephew, is rescued by Superman when he goes into a spin after nearly losing consciousness. He is dispatched to a cabin in the woods to get some rest and do a bit of hunting. He takes his flight report with him (for some reason). Soon a couple of crooks show up and beat him up and kidnap him. Before he is taken he hides the report which is a highly secret document. The problem is that while he is in trouble, no one really knows it. The crooks get more and more aggressive, tearing the place apart, but they can't find anything. As a final resort, they drag the young pilot back to the cabin and torch the place after failing again to locate the secret papers. While being held by one of the guys, the pilot sends a message through a mailman. It has a reasonably good ending.
