A romantic at heart, the bold "Friar Tuck" (Alexander Gauge) makes his first appearance on "The adventures Of Robin Hood," and he's a character, as we all remember. I thought he was a member of Robin Hood's gang but if so, it's not until a later episode. Here, he just jousts a bit with Robin and then the two of them help a couple in love.
Sir William, a real wimpy guy, is set for one of these arranged marriages, to the pretty "Mildred" (Faith Bailey). No wonder the girl wants to marry someone else. That's where Tuck and Hood come in, to help that the right person ends up with the right person. Overall, it's not as entertaining as the previous episodes, but it will still keep your attention. The by-play between RH and FT is often humorous.
Quotes of the episode: You don't want to mess with my lord," says an angry Sir William after the cleric interferes.
The friar counters, "You don't want to mess with MY Lord!"
Hmmmm. Gotcha.
