A bowling ball comes between Pete and Pete.
23 January 2015 | by (United States) – See all my reviews

With Pete and Pete being best friends it looks like nothing could come between the two brothers. Until the day when Dad outgrew his blue sphere bowling ball. Then as most would say, there is more to this story.

It seems that the bowling ball, which was named Rolling Thunder, had been in the Wrigley family for some time and Dad wanted to pass the ball off to one of his sons. At first neither Pete wanted the ball, they would have been happy to give it to the Salvation Army. But then Grand-Pa Wrigley came for a visit. He tells the Pete's that the ball has powers. Sometimes good powers and sometimes evil powers but it is something that needs to be kept in the Wrigley family.

Now both Pete's want to be passed the ball. And it gets so bad that the once best friend brothers are now at war. As Artie exclaims, 'there's a bad omen' in the Wrigley house. And it all because of Rolling Thunder and the spell that the bowling ball has cast.

This episode is filled with many amusing scenes. From Little Pete producing a campaign commercial for the right to receive the ball to Big Pete getting John McLaughlin to report on the reason he should receive the ball- it was comedy all the way. Plus getting William Hickey (best know for playing the grand-father in 'Christmas Vacation') to play the Wrigley's grand-pa just added to the amusement of the show. Another well written script that was entertaining to watch.
