Storyline

A High School boy (Judge Reinhold) becomes good friends with a shy girl classmate (Jeanne Mori) who just recently migrated with her family from Vietnam. Through their tight knit friendship, she opens up and he realizes the struggles that her and her family face to adapting to American Culture. Inspired by her story but blinded by what only the two of them understand on a humanitarian level, he decides to write a Acoustic guitar song Titled "A Step too Slow". Inspired by true compassion and the circumstances of being a Outcast and the pressures of High School . He pulls off the most incredible emotional and lyrically epic performance in front of the the class that opens their blinded eyes and gives them a gift as well as a voice of freedom and expression to his new friend. The silence of the class that eventually erupts into another classmate who initiates a sing along to the catchy warm heartfelt chorus is as real as it gets!
