'7th Heaven' has had a few potential 'jump the shark' moments, and Eric imagining himself as Elvis while having heart surgery another to add to list.
This should've been a very dramatic episode, perhaps one that would've been better served the end of a series episode, but it ends up being more frustrating than anything.
Poorly written (Sue Tenney, again!) with none of the characters reactions seeming genuine, and the Ruthie storyline (despite featuring the welcome return of Sarah) reeked of emotional blackmail.
The worst part of the episode involves Lucy, who has been acting like a prima donna for most of the 7th series, and massively needs taking down a peg or two. I don't know why they've altered her character so much, but she's unbearable. Worryingly the other characters seem to react like she's perfectly in her right to be this way.
Perhaps this show should've wrapped up after its 6th year.
