Storyline

Bailey is hired by Crystal Dart a famous entertainer who became famous in Paris after the war. He is to deliver papers to her soon-to-be ex-husband who has taken residence in her rundown ski lodge. She wants him out. Ken Dexter is helping Crystal write her autobiography and he tries to warn Bailey off. Bailey doesn't scare and he and Crystal along with Dexter drive into the mountains to serve the papers. Kurt, Dart's husband, is in a cast from a skiing accident and he is being cared for by Marie, a local nurse. Dexter's wife Janice also soon shows up and informs them that the snow has covered the road and they are all stranded. Tempers flare in the claustrophobic lodge and soon one of the party winds up dead. Written by tomtrekp

Taut story

The story line has already been told in the plot line, far better than I would have done myself, so I won't repeat it. I will only tell you how I appreciated this story. It is one of the best I have seen lately, up to now. Strong script, strong characters, strong directing, it is a shame that this episode has not been seen by wide audiences since its first aired hour, more than fifty years ago. A true detective tale at its peak, I can't say more. Despite the fact that there is not much action in this story, it nevertheless contains so much charm, such pure fifties spirituality, and I highly recommend it to every one. This could be the ideal episode to discover the whole show.
