Did You Know?

Nina tells Dick that Mary's favorite movie is "Pardon My Sarong starring 'Bob Hope'". Pardon My Sarong was a Bud Abbott and 'Lou Costello' movie, not a 'Bob Hope' movie. See more »

Harry Solomon: [Harry gets a job at the local TV station, and misinterprets his title] Y'know what, I'm gettin' tired of everyone always tellin' me what to do. 'Go-fer this, go-fer that.' How am I supposed to be a serious 'gopher' when everyone's always treatin' me like an errand-boy.

Love this episode
16 March 2016 | by (Georgia, USA) – See all my reviews

May contain spoilers. I really enjoyed this particular episode. When Nina points out that Dick doesn't really know anything about Mary, he proves her point in many ways. But the reason I liked this episode is for the attention that it gives to my favorite singer, Gordon Lightfoot. Although he is not in this episode, he is mentioned repeatedly as he is giving a concert in the town. Of course, Dick doesn't "know" that GL is Mary's favorite singer and she wants to go. I won't give any other details, just that I am disappointed that no one else has written about this episode and no information was given about using his name and logo. Was one of the writer's a fan, or the producer? The ultimate would have been for he himself to be in the show for a cameo. I would love it if anyone else knows anything about this episode could fill me in.
