Nerve Gas Threat
12 September 2012 | by (United States) – See all my reviews

Jack meets with Mike Novick in hopes of gathering evidence against Cummings but Cummings has Secret Service intercept them, taking them both into custody.

Martha begs Aaron Pierce for help while Cummings thinks that he is forcing Logan into aiding him with his complicity with the terrorists. Cummings reveals that he has a man inside with the terrorists who has set a tracker on the canisters of nerve gas. The intention is to remotely detonate the canisters once they have been transported back to the terrorist's camp, thus justifying US military presence in Central Asia and ensuring a steady flow of oil from the region for the benefit of the US.

Buchanan butts heads with Lynn McGill over a decision to violate the President's orders, while the Russian separatists attempt to escape with the nerve gas. With the help of Pierce, Jack escapes and confronts Cummings who eventually reveals the location of the nerve gas. However the terrorists have discovered Cumming's ploy and have already escape with the nerve gas.

In summary, here the events that happened during that hour:

1.Spenser Wolff receives orders from Walt Cummings to let someone inside CTU. Bill Buchanan asks him why he was tracking Jack Bauer, but Spenser says that they must have a good reason for doing so.

2.Jack Bauer asks Wolff why he let in an assassin that tried to kill him, but Spenser tells him he was told the man would only tap the servers. When they ask him who gave him the orders, Spenser tells them it was Walt Cummings. Jack then tells Lynn McGill that Cummings is the connection to the terrorists, and that he's going to meet Mike Novick to recruit his help. However, Novick and Bauer are detained before they can talk.

3.Walt Cummings tells President Logan about the Sentox nerve gas conspiracy with the terrorists, and that the only way for him to prevent problems for his presidency is to play along. Jack Bauer confronts Cummings in front of Logan and gets him to tell where the nerve gas is. CTU watches as a task team led by Agent Finn raids the container at the Port of Long Beach. However, they find the container already empty.

4.Cummings tells them that they were supposed to be there and that he doesn't know where they could've taken them.

5.Ivan Erwich calls Cummings cellphone. Cummings tries to negotiate with him, but Erwich threatens to use the gas on U.S. soil.

The terrorist group are going to threaten the world using the cannisters of Sentox nerve gas and President Logan gets an glimpse of the effect it has once it spreads throughout Los Angeles.

And then,we get to meet Aaron Pierce, one of the most unforgettable characters of 24.He gets to help the first lady on some important matters.

Also,we get to know more about Spenser Wolf and why his actions seemed odd considering he is an employee of CTU.Another CTU mole perhaps. We are going to find out soon enough.
