I never cease to be amazed at how many impossible situations Jack gets himself into, places where you think "he'll never get out of this one," but you know he always does.

In this episode, White House security chief "Aaron Pierce" (Glenn Morshower) saves the day for Jack after he's captured and delivered to the White House, of all places! We also get the main scoop out of Walt Cummings, who not only is discovered for he is, but almost gets away with totally conning this inept President Charles Logan. His wife Martha is found not to be a raving lunatic and the Prez tries to apologize but now she's pouting and looking evil. Man, some of the First Ladies in this show are brutal. I remember David Palmer's first wife, Sherrie. She was a beauty. I get the feeling Martha is going to pull some stunt, too, but I could be wrong.

Anyway, we hear some odd rant out of Cummings on why he was helping the Russians (supposedly for some misguided patriotic reasons) and he winds up helping give up information, thanks to Jack threatening to cut his eyes out. That can motivate one to talk! However, when the "good guys" go to the pier to capture the cannisters of Sentox VX1 nerve gas......it's gone! Now what's the deal?
