Emotional Reunion Of Jack And Audrey, 12 September 2012
Author: Desertman84 from United States

*** This review may contain spoilers ***

Jack returns to CTU and has an emotional reunion with Audrey Raines, while Curtis Manning tracks the sleeper from the airport hostages and discovers the hangar which contained military-grade Sentox nerve gas. CTU begin their hunt for the Sentox. Cummings sends in an assassin to silence Jack, infiltrating CTU with help from Spenser Wolff, who is revealed to be working for Cummings. Chloe discovers this and has Spenser apprehended and interrogated. Jack is lured downstairs to medical and is attacked but survives the attempt on his life, killing the assassin in the process. Cummings, fearing exposure convinces Logan to send Martha away to be institutionalized when she tells them of the attacks against her.

In summary, here the events that happened during that hour:

1.Ivan Erwich informs Schaeffer that the canisters were found where he had told them, and that they would eventually use it on Russian soil. Walt Cummings is informed by James Nathanson that Erwich was successful in retrieving the nerve gas from the airport. They then agree that their only loose end left is Jack Bauer. Cummings then calls Spenser Wolff to ask for his help in dealing with Bauer.

2.President Charles Logan is informed of the theft of nerve gas. Also, after his wife, Martha, is unknowingly attacked by Cummings, she tells him that she had evidence of her conversation with David Palmer, but now it has been stolen. Cummings then tries to convince him that she needs to be sent to a rehabilitation clinic in Vermont. However, Logan finds out that Martha escaped and asks Aaron Pierce to find her.

3.At Counter Terrorist Unit, Bill Buchanan interrogates Spenser after finding out about his involvement. Bill and Chloe realize Spenser had been tracking Jack since he arrived.

4.Jack Bauer kills Hank, an assassin sent to kill him. He then shows Spenser images of the assassin to find out who told him to let him into CTU. Spenser confesses that it was Walt Cummings.

The emotional reunion between Jack and Audrey becomes interesting to watch in this hour as we see how much happy the latter was to see him and realize that he isn't dead after all.

Also,we get to realize that there is another possible mole at CTU - a trademark that the show has had for the last five seasons.

And most of all, things get moving and they seem never to slow down as the action in the airport and at CTU increases to a higher level.

Definitely,we are treated to the best season so far and a lot of things have happened after only 5 hours of 24.
