Trivia

The scene where Jack chases Hewitt on the roof was originally going to take place on a busy highway. This scene was detailed in an online exclusive on the official 24 site. See more »

Goofs

When Jack is chasing Hewitt on the rooftop, Hewitt climbs onto a raised level of the roof, then pulls up the ladder to try to keep Jack from catching him. We see Hewitt drop the ladder at the top of the wall, with a portion of the ladder extending over the edge. Jack then climbs a pipe which is attached to the wall, just to the right of where the ladder was placed. When Jack reaches the top, the ladder is gone. See more »

It's almost over...
9 July 2008 | by (Italy) – See all my reviews

24 is smart, dense and detailed, possibly more than any other TV show ever made. Proof? This is the penultimate episode of Day 2, and there's so much going on it could end in a million different ways.

Having ascertained Kingsley's involvement in the creation of the Cyprus tape, Jack decides to bring in Alex Hewitt and Sherry Palmer for questioning. Unfortunately Alex freaks out, runs away and is killed before he can provide any useful information. Meanwhile, back at CTU, Tony and Michelle are placed under arrest for what they did to Ryan Chappelle, while at the same time Mike Novick realizes he might have made the wrong decision supporting Jim Prescott on the war issue.

Everyone betrays everyone, allegiances shift within minutes, and the only person one can trust to always do the right thing is Jack. Even now, despite the fact he flat-lined a few hours earlier, there's no stopping him, and there's no stopping the show either: the end is near, but the season still keeps running at an enviable pace, ensuring every possible resource is employed to give the audience the well deserved thrills they have asked for. And there's only one hour left after this

  • anything can, and probably will, happen.
