Hanson's Rebellion
12 April 2015 | by (United States) – See all my reviews

The second season's twelfth episode entitled "Fear and Loathing with Russell Buckins" goes back to Officer Tom Hanson once again as the center of the story after having Officer Truman Ioki in the previous one.

In it,Hanson contemplates of leaving the crew and unexpectedly leaves town.He and Officer Bruce Penhall were assigned to go after a culprit drag racer who is guilty of a hit and run incident. This puts Hanson's career as a police officer as well as his friendship and relationship with the crew in jeopardy. In the end,he realizes everything and goes back to the force.

This could have been bad news for Johnny Depp fans.It could be his last episode. How will the show survive without Officer Tom Hanson. There is no secret that he is the viewers' favorite crew member among the officers. But he obviously would work for more seasons to come before he finally launch his career in Hollywood.

It was good that the writers tried to develop his character and turning him into a rebel type instead of a by-the-book police officer to make it more compelling and interesting in many episodes to come.
