Alf Kjellin guest stars
2 November 2014 | by (Youngstown,Ohio) – See all my reviews

"Fever" is still another terrible episode, featuring actor/director Alf Kjellin here performing in his native Sweden, as a doctor named Franz, hired to treat another doctor's charity cases for a short time, patients suffering from flu-like symptoms. His first call is to Otto Szegety (Allan Blair), an artist determined to stay away from the hospital, whose most frequent model, Inez (Karen Stefanee), magically appears in a window in front of the instantly smitten Franz. No matter where he goes he cannot forget about Inez, learning that Szegety has some kind of hold over her, from which only Franz can save her. From beginning to end absolutely nothing holds up, resulting in the worst episode yet, and host Lon Chaney denied any effective coda. Karen Stefanee was best known as Karen Kadler, co-star of Roger Corman's "It Conquered the World," her main claim to fame the reedited 1962 feature comprised of three other episodes of 13 DEMON STREET, "The Devil's Messenger."
