Monsieur Alphonse accepts that Rene is on the side of the French Resistance, and therefore ends his grudge. Meanwhile a vengeful Herr Flick arrests, The Colonel, Captain and Rene, holding them in a dungeon, desperate to get the truth of where the real painting is.
This is my favourite episode this far, it is an absolute classic, funny from start to finish, the writing is exceptional, the one liners are terrific. Herr Flick playing the piano is a scream fest.
A Rene in a dress is hilarious, he looks shocking. Madame Fanny's great line, I see flashing knobs. From here on in we'd get to see more of Hilary Minster from here on in as The General.
I really do think this episode is Allo Allo at its very best.
