could not attend, but did record a new "Where are they now" spoof with Kevin Nealon
as Hans and Franz. However, when the show ran late this sketch was cut. It was first broadcast on 16 October 1999, during an episode of SNL hosted by Heather Graham
. The Hanz and Franz skit is still included on the DVD of the 25th Anniversary. See more
I want to know how much of the show is scripted and how much crazy make'em up: you know, addlibs, improvs.
A legidiment question. Contrary to popular belief, the show is not improvised, SNL has a great staff of writers that craft every line of the show.
When I host, I say whatever I want. I free associate and I make up the skits and things like that and people seem to enjoy it.
