By 2005 it seemed that most people thought they knew the story of the Titanic but this changed when David Concannon, John Chatterton and Richie Kohler went on an expedition and discovered two large pieces of the ships bottom hull far away from the rest of the wreck site. After this historians and experts started to rethink what they had previously known and the possibility that the ship broke apart much sooner was debated. In between the searches we get stories of the Titanic, her hitting the iceberg and eventually sinking two hours later. We also get to hear other smaller stories about the class types of the time as well as what Titanic was supposed to be when she was being built. History buffs and fans of the tragedy should really enjoy this documentary for a number of reasons but the biggest is obviously the new footage of the discovery that had experts rethinking when the ship broke apart and perhaps that ice broke the ship from underneath as well. I think most fans of the ship are going to enjoy seeing all of this new footage and the debate as to what happened is quite interesting. I've seen quite a few documentaries on the subject of the story of the sinking is something they all tell. You could argue that the story itself is just so strong that anyone could tell it. The way the story is told here was quite effective and you really do get a great feel for what happened. Those that aren't overly informed about the subject should get a good idea of what happened and why.
