Upcoming dramatic thriller ‘31st October’ starring Vir Das and Soha Ali Khan, marks the comeback of legendary singer Ustad Ghulam Mustafa Khan, who has lent his voice to the song titled ‘Maula’ in the film.

For those who do not know this, Ustad Ghulam Mustafa Khan is known for having trained several noted playback and classical singers including Asha Bhonsle, Geeta Dutt, Hariharan, Sonu Nigam, Shaan, Alisha Chinoy and A.R Rahman among several others and his two pupils took to their Twitter pages to gush about their ‘Guru’ and his song.

Taking to his Twitter page, Sonu wrote, “Greatness stands by the Greats, long after their youth gives up. Long live My Guru, Ustad Ghulam Mustafa Khan saheb.” On his aprt, Shaan tweeted, “Maula’ a Divine song by Padma Bhushan Ustaad Ghulam Mustafa Khan, in the film ’31st October’.”

It’s almost every actresses’ dream to work with the veteran director Mani Ratnam, whether its in Bollywood or down south. He is one director who is on everybody’s wish list. Recently, Alia Bhatt too expressed her desire to work with him in a film.

Only a few actresses like Manisha Koirala and Aishwarya Rai from Bollywood have had the unique opportunity to work with him in his films like Dil Se, Bombay and Guru, Raavan respectively. This time, its Aditi Rao Hydari who has been hand picked by the director for his next magnum opus.

India’s biggest celebration of music, The Global Indian Music Academy (GiMA) has unveiled its most illustrious nominee list for the year.
